Studio Hand-Pouring and Curing Protocol

Our candles are poured in small ten-jar batches at our Barton Springs Road studio to ensure thermal consistency across every vessel.

Phase 1 — Vessel Pre-Heating Amber jars are pre-warmed to 100°F prior to filling. Warming the glass eliminates thermal shock and prevents rapid perimeter wax contraction.
Phase 2 — Single Center Pour at 135°F Molten soy wax with fragrance compound is poured at exactly 135°F in a single continuous stream, leaving 12mm headroom beneath the jar threads.
Phase 3 — Aluminum Bow Centering Tension clips maintain vertical wick alignment while the liquid wax transitions through a 4-hour cooling curve on butcher-block benches.
Phase 4 — 14-Day Vault Curing Candles are sealed with Bakelite lids and stored in a temperature-controlled dark vault at 70°F for two full weeks before labeling and dispatch.

Candle Care Physics and Objections Answered

Soy wax is an authentic vegetable lipid. It has a memory and burns according to how you manage the initial flame.

The Memory Burn Rule On the first burn, allow the candle to remain lit for 2.5 to 3 hours until the liquid wax pool reaches the glass walls completely. Extinguishing too early creates a narrow burn memory channel (tunneling).
Wick Trimming Protocol Trim the cotton wick to 1/4 inch (6mm) before every lighting. An untrimmed wick mushrooms carbon balls, increases flame height, and generates unnecessary smoke.
Surface Frosting and Dimples Pure natural soy wax often cools with a crystalline, matte velvet finish or slight surface dimples after burning. This is direct visual proof of 100% vegetable soy without paraffin petroleum stabilizers.
Who This Is Not For Consumers looking for synthetic paraffin candles with overpowering room-filling chemical fumes. Our candles offer clean, refined botanical diffusion.
